So, We have all sat down in a situation where out of boredom we have started to carve or cut the item nearest to us at the time … But to have the ability to carve details so intricate like I have collected for you to see here is so impressive

Scroll down the page and enjoy the carvings

Tiny Carving Image Number One

Makes you wonder how many of us would have the patience to sit and carve out such well detailed carvings doesn’t it?

Tiny Carving Image Number Two

I really would love to know how easily they break before one gets finished. Perhaps this is for feminine fingers? More gentle that my clumsy oaf stubby fingers.

And here I am thinking matches are for picking my teeth. So creative. I love this one

Tiny Carving Image Number Four

The entire alphabet? Really? Who would have the patience to test their sanity like this? I am so impressed.

Tiny Carving Image Number Five

I love that a carpenters pencil was used for this one, allowing it to be started off in a rectangular shape

Tiny Carving Image Number Six

Ok, my first thought here was all that pressure I would be under by needing to keep these out of the sun, and far away from my grandchildren.

Earring? Imagine carving two of these and then asking the buyer for a few hundred dollars – telling them that they are buying art. I would love to see their faces when told that price

Tiny Carving Image Number Eight

Do you think real elephants would even be able to see this?

Tiny Carving Image Number Nine

Look at the pencil tip in this carving – and then look at how big the persons fingerprint things are, now look at your own hand, and it will give you an idea of the scale of this. Wondeful

Tiny Carving Image Number Ten

So after enjoying this work of art for awhile, looking at the oasis, the camels and even the Arabic gentlemen – I remembered that I struggle to thread a needle and this artist fitted a painting in there.

Tiny Carving Image Number Eleven

With this picture zoomed in to show us such detail it is easy to forget that it is just a pencil tip. Look at that detail!

Tiny Carving Image Number Twelve

This one has a nice and calming effect on me. But I suspect if I had tried to carve that I would have been far from calm – trying to achieve this :)

Please go back to the Facebook page and comment there on what you think this material used in this one is made from.

Full colour, proportions correct – Brilliant. Now my question is … How are those legs done? and what material are they?

Tiny Carving Image Number Fifteen

OK, here my mouth hung open in amazement – How the hell do you do those legs?

And the neck? And then do it again, not once more BUT 9 TIMES!

Tiny Carving Image Number Sixteen

I smiled at this one – because I would need to keep on trying to get the patterns exact and would eventually have carved it away completely.

You just know that this artist has the very zen like qualities needed to do this work, so carving a thinking person seems very apt to me

Look at That! They even have expressions :)

The detail here on this leaf carving impresses me a lot. I know that I would tear the leaf long before I was finished

Tiny Carving Image Number Twenty

I used to do the name-on-a-grain-of-rice thing and was always so very proud of my drawings etc that I did on rice, but to carve in such detail – amazing. How the hell do you grip it?
